What should I bring to class?
We do have mats available for you to use (or purchase!) but feel free to bring your own Yoga Mat. All props are provided at studio. All you need to bring is yourself and an open mind!
What should I wear to class?
Please wear what you are most comfortable in! You’ll be moving around, stretching and possibly sweating. We don’t want you to feel restricted or uncomfortable. If you forget any items at home, we do offer clothing, yoga mats, accessories and barre socks for purchase.
I am a beginner… What class should I take?
‘Elevate Your Roots’ and ‘Yoga Wall Fundamentals’ are great beginner classes. Although they’re beginner, they’re great for any skill level. We never stop learning and growing! It’s always wonderful to strengthen our basic, core skills. Barre and Pilates classes are open to all levels!
What time should I arrive?
Arriving 10-15 minutes before class should be enough time for you to set up your mat and transition into a peaceful mindset for your practice.
What if I am running late?
There will be times that the door gets locked once a class begins. Unfortunately, in this case, there is no way to enter the studio. We do our best to wait for individuals who are signed up that haven’t checked in.
If you are signed up for class but arrive late, you run the risk of losing your placement to someone from our waitlist and will be charged as a ‘Late Cancel’.
Also, if you are signed up but do not plan on attending, we ask that you please cancel your reservation online, through the app or by calling. We do our best to wait for all attendees and would love to know if you have changed your mind :)
Will I be charged for cancelling my reservation?
If you cancel your reservation within 24 hours of class, it is considered a ‘late class’ and you will be charged the class. If you cancel before the 24 hour period, you will not be charged and that credit will be returned to your account for future use.
Do you have a dressing room or space for clothing changes?
We have one large bathroom that may be used for getting dressed and changing into your workout attire.
I’ve never tried the Yoga Wall and it looks a little intimidating. Do I need to have any certain skill level?
Our Yoga Wall is one of the very few in the North East! We promise it is not as scary as it looks.
The Yoga Wall provides the ability to hold poses for longer than one might be able to on a mat. This provides a space where the individual can clearly focus on the breath (an important component to yoga practice) and possibly even achieve a meditative state within a pose. Sometimes this offers a more profound release in the muscles and nerves that is difficult to achieve in any other form of yoga.
Suspended inversions (such as variations of headstand) can also be practiced on the Yoga Wall. This provides incredible health benefits to the spine and offers the opportunity to practice inversions to those who may not be able to perform them on the mat.
